Online check-in question?

I have used the online check-in option a couple times now and have always linked a credit card to our reservation. Is a credit card required for online check-in? We have 2 studios booked at SSR in Dec. One for DH & myself and one for my daughter's family. I need to let my daughter know about the online check-in and give her instructions. She may not want to attach a credit card to her reservation. TIA!

A credit card number is not required but they give you the option. I just did online check in and I did not give them my credit card number.
