Online check in + other question

What is the benefit of online check in? It's our first time staying at Kidani and didn't know how it all worked.
Also, has anyone done a in-room celebration? Would love to add one to our resort stay.

Really the only benefit of online check-in is being able to bypass the front desk check-in and going directly to your room. When you sign up, you have to provide a cell phone number (for a text) or e-mail address for the resort to send you your room number. Once you find out your room assignment, your Magicbands (or RFID cards) will open the door. I think it's really cool.
 
I used online check-in for all three resorts on my trip - I received a text with the building and room numbers pretty early on the day on all three. We only visited the front desk once (the Grand Floridian to pick up a birthday button). I LOVED being able to go directly to the room and will continue to do online check-in in the future.

(In case you're curious, our room requests were met on two of the three rooms, and the one that wasn't resulted in an even BETTER placement than I'd requested. Online check-in didn't seem to have a negative impact at all!)
 
I have heard that the earlier you complete online check-in the more likely you are to get your room amenity requests. However, this is what I have read - not sure how true it is. I always choose my room to be ready over any amenity requests. I also have always put a realistic time I would be arriving, and all my trips, except maybe three, I was able to receive early check-in.

Not sure which in-room celebration you are considering, however, I have been on the receiving end of a few in room celebrations. The best has been one DH did for our anniversary. It was the one where you got roses, rose petals around the room, gift basket, bath towels, and a few other items. It was truly special to walk in our room with it all set up beautifully. However, DH told me after the fact that he couldn't give a specific time it was to be set up, just a time frame. I have had a few other celebrations with their flowers, and they have all been gorgeous!
 

I just ordered the Mickey Kool cooler with snacks and a Mickey Mylar ballon for both of our rooms. It was $116 with delivery for both and I think my teens will love it. I ended up calling 407-939-4438 because I had a couple of questions, they were extremely helpful.

Did you do online check-in well in advance for all 3? I have a split stay and am wondering if I can check-in to both resorts ahead of time at the same time? It doesn't mess anything up by being checked in to both?
 
How early did you get the text/email with your room assignment? We are checking in today and I was just curious if I will receive it by
3:00 since that is check in time? Thanks!
