Online Check in issues and a Beach Club question

I'm trying to check in online for our upcoming trip (Staying at the BC) and under room requests, it just says "select", there are no options to select from. Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, on a side note, what requests should we make if we plan on using the IG entrance almost every night? We've never stayed here so I am unfamiliar with the layout.

Yes Online Check-in is and has been broken for quite a while now where it comes to selecting and "requests". You will need to call Disney to have any requests added to your reservation.

For suggestions, we need to know what room category you have reserved as that will help with the location(s) offered.

Great. Here is a post that shows the room categories for all 5 floors at the BC. The Standard view rooms are marked in Yellow. On the Second floor: 2606-2626 at the front of the BC. These would be the closest Standard rooms to the "Secret" Entrance / Exit of the BC near room 1501.

Room Requests: you can phone in your room requests (if checking in within nine days) to: (407) 934-8000

They will ask for your name, resort, and check-in date (no need for confirmation number). Unlike the central reservations number, this contact will take your room requests, even if you booked through a TA or third party. You will speak with a CM who handles requests/questions for a few specific Disney resorts.

If you want to add room requests for a stay further out than nine days, and you booked directly thru Disney, you can call central reservations at 1 (407) 939-1936.

Its really not an "issue".
Room requests haven't worked in over a year and its believed Disney may just be phasing it out.
Not sure why they don't just remove the option entirely so people stop being confused.
Call in your requests and remember they are only requests.
Never stayed at BC so can't help with that.

Great. Here is a web page that shows the room categories for all 5 floors at the BC. The Standard view rooms are marked with a Green line. On the first floor: rooms 1512-1558 (even numbered rooms) are all Standard and very close to the "Secret" BC entrance / exit by room 1501. These are the closest rooms to the IG to Epcot.

This is a really old map. It's been quite a few years since BC categorized many of the "Standard" rooms into "Garden" rooms. This map does not distinguish between them. I think there is a newer map in the BC/YC thread.

You can call the Disney reservation line and they will write your request in your reservation. I would suggest indicating that you want a room convenient to the Epcot IG entrance. One year we had a first floor room right there. It was crazy short walk to Epcot.
