Online check in for FL resident?

We're booked under the FL resident rate on Monday and would like the convenience of online check-in. We have the FL resident rate and it mentions we have to show our FL IDs upon check-in. How does that work? Anyone who's used the rate and done online check-in?

It says the same for annual passholders booking with a passholder discount. I've been able to do online check-in with no problem. I was only asked once, when paying off my room charges with a gift card, to see my AP. I don't know if it's different for FL residents, though. My father is Aa FL resident and got discount park tickets. He did have to show his ID at will-call to activate those.

Yep, we're AP, too and the FL resident discount was better. I figure with AP, they can see our linked account (for that matter they should see our linked account to see the APs are FL resident, too). So, you just did it as normal and no instructions to go to the desk or anything? That would be nice! I mean, I have no problem going to the desk during our stay, I would just rather be in the park, get a text, and go straight to our room without standing in line at check in.

We are AP and FL residents and have booked and used online check-in through both discounts. I'm pretty sure we have never had to show either our AP card or proof of FL residency in either situation.

I just assume that they have all of that information available through your My Disney Experience account, billing address, address on file, etc.

We had no trouble with it at all. I got the text that our room was ready shortly after arriving at MCO, so it was perfect timing. I think like @TravelingTotMom mentioned, the CMs can see everything through your account.
