Online Check In for Alamo Chev Equinox?

The last few trips to Disney we used the Emerald Isle at National Car Rental, and it was great. We are planning another trip at the end of April, and I have booked the great rate for a Chev Equinox at Alamo (143./week+ taxes and surcharges). I also used the $15. online Alamo weekly coupon.

I am concerned about having a long wait at the counter at Alamo for pickup. I noticed the "on-line Check In " on their website, and would like to use that service but notice two conditions that apply:

1. Not available for Midsize SUV and other specialty class vehicles.
2. Cannot be used when using coupons.

Given that the coupon is through their website, you wouldn't think that would be a problem, and given that they are renting so many of the Equinox (or equivalent), it is strange they would view it as a specialty vehicle.

Has anyone tried this, or plan to try it over the next few months? If so, I would appreciate knowing of your experiences.

I too had this same concern. I decided to call Alamo and asked them if they would check my reservation to see if I could use the Quick Check in.

I might as well have talked to my myself.

I called their 800 number and the person on the other end told me that it would be fine within seconds of my question. I told them I was concerned because of what I read on the website. No check on my reservation. Just kept telling me to use it.

I then decided to call Orlando. The answer was...
If that is what the website says, then you can't use it. I guess they are right but I asked them to check on my reservation. Just kept repeating themselves.

I am not going until August so I am certain I will see feedback from the rest of you. You can do the quick check 30 days in advance of your arrival so I figured I would find out then if it was going to work or not. I prepayed and got a wonderful deal but I would rather cancel and pay $5.00 then deal with a torture treatment on landing to pick up my car. You are after all supposed to be unwinding....

Many people report wonderful experiences with Alamo recently so I am hoping for the same.
