Is the chat option no longer an option?
Or is it just not on now???

Chat closes at 9 pm est. But, since this all started, if the phone lines are really busy, then many of the CMS are busy doing that as I think they are still not back to full force.

I find it hit or miss.

Sometimes, when the chat appears as unavailable during regular hours, I find that if you refresh, chat becomes available. I don’t know if it is coincidence or not, but it seems to work for me.

Chat is on and off constantly and often appears for 5 seconds then becomes unavailable again. If you don’t need to speak to MS urgently, try logging in a few times and see if you get lucky. Chat option is better than the 90+ minute holds I’ve had lately to speak to MS.

we used it a few times last year, and it's hit or miss as to availability. Might be N/A when I log in, but available 20 mins later, or vice versa. I'd keep trying. we were able to resolved 2 of our 3 questions/issues last year with chat, so that was a plus.
