Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

OMG I love this system!!!!!! They must have been keeping some reservations from those of us that called because I scored Ohana for dinner at 5pm on Sept 12 and CRT for dinner at 7pm, same night as MNSSHP!!!!!!!!! Couldn't score those over the phone, even at my 90 day mark at 7am!

I can't see any of the stuff you all can see. I can get to the page where you can retrieve your dining reservations but I can't see anywhere to go to book your ADR's. I just want to look at it and get use to it so that when my 90 days I will know what I'm doing.

Is it because my 90 days isn't for another few weeks?

I don't get the 90+10 rule even after 4 years straight. I just tried the online system and can't book an ADR past Sept 14. My dates are Sept 19-27. can I do any better calling Disney ? I tried to call last year earlier than 90 and was told to call back. How are others booking ADRs early ???

You can't book them early, but what you can do is on June 21, you'll be able to book not only 9/19 but 10 days into your vacation as well if you are staying on property where everyone else would have to call back each day!

You get to book on your 90 day. Then you can also book up to 10 more days after your 90 day. So if you are at WDW for only 10 days you can just make the one phone call to book your ADR's.

Before the 90 +10 came in you had to call each day to book your ADR's


Now I figured out where to go to get to the reservations. It automatically came up with some of the places to eat but they were food courts-can't book ADR's there!

Just go to the dining section & under each restaurant, there is a little orange button that you click on to make a reservation. You can go through the motions to do a reservation & then just don't make it. I'm anxious too - Friday is our day!!!

Also the 90 plus 10 is only for Disney resort guests.

Could you befriend a fellow DISer to make online ressies for you if their stay is earlier and overlaps with yours? For example we arrive Sept 17th (ADR 90 day is June 19th). Could I ask fellow DISer to make ressies for me if their stay coincides with my arrival days ex. Sept. 14-21st? They could possibly secure 4 days of ressies for me at the end of their stay. I haven't used the online bookings yet to know what they ask you when you do cart checkout.

Okay, now I''m having trouble with the favorites.

My thought was I would mark all the restaurants and some second choices as my favorites and then it would be faster to book. After going through all the restaurants and clicking on the heart and add to favorites comes up. When I click on the top area to see the list of favorite restaurants I get a different screen, with no restaurants. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I think I may have found another way to do this.

You could ask, but it's not a smart idea. ADRs would be made in their name with their phone number; otherwise they would have to re-register with your information. There is also the issue of potential CC#'s needing to be laid down, etc. Although Disney's policies are pretty lax on the whole ADR matter, it's not a good idea to be transferring ADRs. It's an easy way for you to make a bad name for somebody else, even if you have no intention on doing so.

I tried the same thing this afternoon. Thought the same way you did. That way when your 90+10 arrives, you have all your favorites on one screen and you just pop right through them. Unfortunately, it takes you to an age-old screen from the previous WDW website that offers 50% the dining venues, etc. It's a waste. The favorites feature may work in the future, but right now it doesn't do what it's supposed to.

I guess I posted this without trying out the system. I just had heard on here that people didn't have to link their confirmation numbers when checking. My bad. I apologize.

Dont worry, i will,About 90 minutes and counting to see if 12:01 works, this is so cool, im glad i get to try it out so soon. But i still have to call and book fantasmic,oh well

You can book Fantasmic online too. It is just under special dining options

I just noticed the same thing... I am hoping this works so I don't have to wake up at 4 AM...

You can book Fantasmic online too. It is just under special dining options

I can get to the link in there, but once I click on it, it shows that you have to call to make them. So I think they will be at some point, but not now.
