Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I was a bit skeptical, because we arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving and everything is always crowded that night. If I go alone, I usually just sit at the bar. A few years ago, I went with friends, and after checking out three or four places, we opted for getting pizza sent to our room. This is the first time I have ever made ADR's and I felt it was critical because the free dining was extended.

So people the week of Thanksgiving had already been doing ADR's the week before and I expected to be out of luck.

What did I do, pulled up Epcot, logged onto Le Chefs de France for 5:30 pm and got it! The rest was a piece of cake.

Thanks for the information!!! Very timely for me, tomorrow morning is my 90 days. I was just going to call in, but it's good to know that the online reservations open earlier than call-ins. I wouldn't have known that. Great information. So I'll try online at 6:00 and if I have issues I can call at 7:00 and not be behind on calling in. Also, I wouldn't have thought/known to open up separate tabs to the different restaurants as a way to speed along the process.


Off to do a trial run...

Thanks so much for all the information. My ressie day is next Friday and I'm just as excited for that as for the trip itself. As a matter of fact I'm taking my mother to lunch that day to celebrate. (Took the day off work!) My one question at the moment is, Which browser is best to use for ressies? I have IE, Firefox and Chrome. I usually use Chrome, but I don't want to find out that it's a problem at the wrong moment in time.

I saw a post a while back that said how the system searches for availability based on the reservation time you enter--like if you put in 7:00pm what hours does it actually search for--anyone remember where it is? It would be helpful to include in the info in this thread so that you don't waste time bumping up or down your reservation time trying to find a ressie when the system has already searched that time for you. Like if no ressie for 7:00pm, do you bump to 7:30 or 8:00 or 8:15?

Does someone pull out the actual 'real info' and move it to the front? Like the how to use multiple browsers or what times the ressie time you enter really searches for? This thread is huge to try and read thru all the general comments and 'thank you', etc. to find real info that is helpful on how to make an online ADR.

My 90 day window opens next monday. I know all about 90+10 (staying at Pop Century, booked through disney.com).
When my 90 day window opens, I will book all ADR´s using my reservation number. Here is my tricky question:

I got the Dining Plan, if I want to book more TS meals and pay them cash, can I? I am staying 8 nights, that´s 8 TS, can I book, let´s say... 12 TS? and pay for 4 in cash? Will I be able to book those with the 90+10 day window as well? or would I have to wait for a the exact 90 day window each day and book the additional TS without my reservation number and use a credit card for the reservation?

You can make as many as you intend to use, whether they are in excess of your dining plan or not. Even folks NOT on the dining plan can get 90 + 10 if they are staying onsite.

I'm not aware of any limitations on the # of TS you can book--we are on the dining plan and paying out of pocket for several during our trip in October and:

I made them all on line--probably 8 more TS's than our dining plan paid for (I made a few extra because we didn't know park hours yet and I went back later and canceled them)

I was able to book them all on line during the 90+10 day by using my reservation number and linking them to it (we are on site).

The only credit card reservation that was required was for CRT and that didn't have anything to do with the number of TS I had booked.

Not tricky at all...You can book as many TS as you want during the 90+10 day window...They do not ask you to assign a table credit to a meal...Credits/cash can be used in any order you see fit...You do not pay for any of your meals up front unless you are buying cat. at a dinner show and you need to give a credit card just to reserve a spot at places like CRT and other 2 credit meals...

So long story short, make as many as you want and use your credits as you please when you are there.

You guys are the best! Thank you so much! I guess I´ll just show my KTTW card on those I wish to be included on the Dining Plan and pay for those TS that will be cheaper.

I was successful this morning booking 8 ADRs online and then called at 7:00 and got my second choice restaurant for the CP package date I wanted. I had been too busy the last few days to see if the Dec. calendar was out due to funerals on both Saturday and today. Now I see Fantasmic is different dates than I thought it would be and I want to make some modifications to my ADRs. When I try to get back online I can bring up the initial pages but get error messages when I go to any particular restaurant. Is that happening to others at this time?

We are not on the DDP and will make all of our ADRs next Monday. The only time I can see it being an issue is if you have two or three lunches (dinners, etc.) booked for the same time frame. There are only a few ADRs that will require a credit card hold.

I'm not sure who to ask. The system won't let me register a new anything-i keep getting an error message. And I can;t do "forgot password" b/c it will get mailed to my now nonexistent email.

My adr date is coming up and I'd really like to do it online and get the email confirmation.

Have you tried registering online with Disney again with your new email address? Pretend that the old account just doesn't exist.

I would also call Disney and see if there is an email address associated with your reservation. If there is, see if they can switch around the email addresses via telephone.

I get an error message every time I try to register anew. Even after I cleared the cookies.

I did try on the phone. It didn't work. As a matter of fact my pin code came to the new email.
