online ADR for DVC

Two questions I hope someone will help me with. I don't have a confirmation # I only have a reservation # which do you need to make ADRs. Once you book the first day does it then give you the 90 + 10 or do you need to be login with a confirmation #? Is there a discussion link that explains this all for DVC members and the best way to procede? I guess that is 3 questions but I'm confused sorry

I just made my ADR's for October so this is what you do. Go to the dining reservations site, pick the first restaurant you want to eat at, click on book a reservation right above the date you want to eat there is wording asking if you are staying on property, click on retrieve your reservation and put your DVC confirmation number there, this will enable you to book the 90 + 10. Very easy I booked 4 ADR's in about 10 minutes.

Is there a differents between reservation number and comfirmation number? I have a ressie number and can't pull it up on the Disney site when I try to put it in on "My vacation". Thanks for the help.

I don't know if the situations are comparable, but we are staying at OKW in December on an RCI swap. We had a 9 digit confirmation number from, and I called DVC member services and was given a 12-digit WDW confirmation number that they said would work for ADRs. I tested it out on the ADR site, even though I'm well outside my 90 days, and it worked. When I went to choose an ADR just as an experiment, the site asked if I wanted to link my ADRs to my reservation. I said yes, and the site gave me an opportunity to enter the confirmation number. It came back with my vacation dates at OKW. The odd thing is that the confirmation number won't work anywhere else on the Disney site (like "My vacation") if I try to pull up my reservation. It only works on the ADR site, which is all that was important to me anyway. Just knowing that it worked there made me feel more secure.

You need the DVC reservation number and it won't work on my vacation you have to go to book dining reservations and enter it there and it will bring it up. Go to the DVC member site and get the number it should be the same number you got when you booked the DVC reservation.
