A couple of quick questions...

The Meal Plan.

We're umming and ahhing about whether to get the Meal Plan - am I right in thinking we can add this at any point before we arrive? Could we do it the day before?

We don't usually have lunch, if so it's usually a piece of fruit or something small, so we're not considering the full board plan. Dinner wise, we have a rough idea of where we'd like to eat and at what times, if you have any feedback, please let me know!

Wednesday: Annettes, 7:30pm-ish - I understand you can't book?
Thursday: Breakfast at Cafe Mickey (9:30am), dinner at Inventions (8:30pm).
Friday: In Paris all day.
Saturday: Either Chuck Wagon Cafe, Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet or Plaza Gardens - what do you guys think?
Sunday: Lunch at Walts, before heading into Paris for our early evening Eurostar back.

We'd probably be looking at the Standard Meal Plan, as most of the restaurants we want to visit are included in that (with the exception of Inventions and Walts). The price at the moment is €21 per adult, per night, and I do think we'd spend more than that if we're paying OOP - but do all restaurants offer a set menu to allow you to use the Meal Plan effectively? Or, would we end up most likely using their face value?

What do you guys think? Is there any real benefit in having the meal plan, other than helping you budget as it's partially pre-paid for?

Question two!

Eurostar.

This is the first time we're getting the Eurostar rather than flying and getting the VEA. Is it relatively simple getting from Gare du Nord to Marne-la-Vallée?

And, our evening Eurostar train back leaves Gare du Nord at 6:43pm, what time would you recommend we leave the parks?

Thanks for all of your help once again!

Hi, can't really help with the Eurostar as I've only used the direct service but you'll need to take the RER A4 line to get to DLP from Paris. To get on it from Gare du Nord I think you take the metro to Chatelet des Halles and change there but make sure it's the A4 line you take as it branches into two, Disneyland Parcs Marne la Vallee-Chessy will be the last stop on it. The journey takes approx 35 minutes and so I would probably allow at least three hours from leaving the park before my Eurostar departed.

Regarding the meal plan ..... if you're using it solely for buffets that come within its category then it's quite a good deal as you'll get one soft drink each included however if you're using it at table service it's not so good. IMO the set menus are very restrictive and there's no real benefit to using it at face value apart from that you've budgeted in advance.

I've never eaten breakfast at Cafe Mickey, only lunch and dinner, but unless you specifically want to eat there for the characters why not have breakfast at Inventions instead? Anyone can pay to eat there regardless of where they're staying and it costs (again I think) approx 15 euros each. Although it's not a character meal as such there are characters stationed outside the restaurant. If you decided to do this you could always swap your Inventions dinner to Saturday night so as not to eat in the same place twice in one day.

Happy planning - whatever you decide - and have a great trip. :wizard:

You'll need to leave the park a few hours before boarding - last time I was late (didn't want to leave my Pirate behind and security practically had to usher me through), even so it was a good hour between saying goodbye, passport and security checks and they locked the doors at about 20 past (at which point I was suicidal and wanted to smash them open!!).
But it will take an hour to leave the park, say goodbye to it etc, luggage being knuckle dragged....so I think 4pm would be the latest (if you're like me "one more look in this shop" at the Village, leave no later than then).
Food wise, I use my AP discount instead of vouchers. With the best will in the world, I plan meals, budget accordingly but you can guarantee the plans are adjusted and we always SAVE at least ¬100 doing so of our budget! Sometimes you just want to grab a quick meal. So for us, we just feel like the vouchers force us to eat and spend money :-/
The only advantage to them is that your meals are covered and you don't need to take a food budget. To add them though, I think I was told you need about four/five days notice as they need to be printed and added to your paperwork on arrival.
