One way car rental and Costco?

We'll be on the Magic in December and will fly in to FLL the day before. We have 5 adults so I've been looking for a large SUV and found a great deal on Costco. I'd like to rent the car at FLL and return to a rental place near Port of Miami. Has anyone ever done this? How do you go about it?

Yep did this with a Costco rental, but you just have to choose a different pickup and drop off location when making the reservation. Not hard! Price may change though.

Most major rental chains will allow one way trips. The reservation page on their website should have "pick up location" and "drop off location" menus.

We've rented a car from FLL and returned it at MIA for cruises out of Miami. There are several rental companies that offer a free shuttle from the car rental center at MIA to the port of Miami. We have done Alamo in the past, but there are others that offer a free shuttle from the car rental center. I have read (but not experienced) that Budget has an office near the port of Miami that offers a free shuttle.

A one way rental will be more expensive than a same location rental, but you can do it. You just have to select the option when making the reservation.
