one travel agency vs. another ($)

What if you book with one travel agency and find a cheaper rate with another agency later? Will they “match” each other’s prices? If so, is it a sure thing or a gamble that they will match the other agency’s rate? I’ve looked at so many agencies online and they never have the same rates (yes, it is a identical ship, date, room, no air). So I’m wondering if I book with one, is it worth still browsing the others for their rates? I’m not just browsing for Disney Cruises, but Celebrity also. Thanks

If the cheaper rate is due to the cruise line adjusting their published prices, you current agent should be able to match without a problem since most cruise line will honor current discounts on existing bookings. But, if it's not, then whether your travel agent will "match" another's price is really up to him/her (or his/her agency policy). They are certainly not obligated to (or can) match/beat, but then they risk losing you as a customer. I know certain agencies impose a cancellation fee (no charge for rescheduling) to discourage this kind of customer behavior. So, if you plan to continuously shop for better prices, you should ask upfront before booking with an agent.
