One time use points

Tomorrow when I add another day I will be short 5 pts. One MS person I spoke to said yes I can purchase the 5pts as a one time use.

Today another MS said no I will need to borrow our points from the 2012 year, since I was booking at my 11mth window. I could only do this if it was at my 7th mth window.

Who is correct? And I can't seem to find any information on the DVC member website which I know was there just a few months ago.

this guide is correct (at the 7 month window.)

this guide is more correct. one-time-use pts are not valid at the 11 month window.

The one time use points are only available at the 7 month mark because they are not resort specific.

Therefore, they can't allow someone to have a home resort advantage with points that could possibly be coming from a different resort.

You will have to borrow, or make what you can and then hope that you can extend the trip a day at 7 months. If it were me, I would probably just borrow the points.

One can only purchase points to complete a reservation at the 7 month mark.

Thanks everyone.

Since we only have 100pts per use year so every point is needed but I will just borrow and not take a chance of loosing our last night.


But I already feel the addonitis coming on.
