One time use for trip in 11days and online purchase?

First, can I purchase the one time points online or does that have to be by phone?

Second, is there a rule about purchasing within a certain amount of days of your trip and can it be at resort other than home? We are adding 3 people to our trip for 3 nights and have to change from 1BR to 2BR.

As far as I know they can only be purchased over the phone and can be used to book a room at any resort as long as it is 7 months or less from check in (you can’t use them during the home resort advantage period)

As CMNJ says, OTU points do not show up in your online account. All transactions involving OTU points must be done via phone call with MS. The only exception - you may cancel a reservation that used OTU points online. But you'll have to call MS to make a new reservation that uses them. They epire at the end of your use year and cannot be banked.

You should be able to purchase OTU points at any time for any resort (within the 7 month window). However, to switch to a 2 bedroom from the 1 bedoom, there still must be 2 bedroom availability (which could be an issue so close to arrival).

Also, don't forget that any points that you 'free up' at 11 days out, (by using the One Time Use Points,) will become Holding Points.

Thank you everyone for your responses! I worked with Lucy this morning and she was AMAZING!! She made it a smooth and easy process. Was able to move our reservation from Old Key in a 1BR to a 2BR at Saratoga and purchase the points needed. So glad it worked out!
