One Step Ahead products

Has anyone ever used the Travel and Trundle toddler bed from One Step Ahead? Do you like it?

I bought this bed, and I returned it the same day. It was so cheaply made, it was a wate of time to put it together (you have to put foam cylinders in all 4 sides each time you want to use it and fold it up), and there was no way to put a sheet on it except for the poor quality polyester thing they provided because of the odd size.

I agree with Ali, I bought it and didn't look at it until we used it at my MIL's house. Since we were already there, we were stuck and it truly is unusable.

Now I need to find another way to have a bed for my DD to sleep in for a cruise in April 2005 (not Disney).

Any suggestions?

I just sold ours at a garage sale. DD hated it and refused to sleep in it. Would a sleeping bag work for your DD? We've had our DD use one on several trips since she was 2 1/2. They make ones of children w/o the zipper so you don't have to worry about suffication.

I don't have any first hand knowledge about this product, but I have seen in a catalog a toddler size inflatable (aero type) bed. Anyone know about these??

I bought a Ready Bed for my son at Target, I think it was $20 on sale.

It is a sleeping bag with an air mattress under it. It's all one piece so they don't slip off or anything. The mattress goes into it's own little pouch and they sleep on the soft sleeping bag. The whole thing rolls up and goes into it's own little carry bag.

They have different characters, Bob the Builder, Wiggles, Barbie, etc. I think they have a website you can check out too.

I also have the Ready Bed and it is GREAT for older children. My DD 5 is GREAT with it and we used it extensively on our past WDW trip. DD 2 however is a BIG mover in his sleep, and being zipped up in the bag, he managed to flip it over several times in his sleep, so he was on the bottom and the bed was on-top of him. If we placed him on-top and didn't zip him in, he still managed to fall off onto the floor. Now, he can sleep in his toddler bed, but must make use of the side rails to not fall out. Hopefully next year, he'll be better, but we'll see. So, keep that in mind, they're great, but if you have a mover sleeper, they're not all that great!

We have the Ready Bed and the Aero bed for toddlers. They are both good for their purpose. The toddler Aero bed has higher sides and is bigger--giving lots of moving room for a little sleeper. The Ready Bed is a good size for an older child who is maybe a little calmer sleeping. They both fold up fairly small for storage. We are going to use the Barbie Ready Bed this trip--it is a little smaller and I think it will do.

For our trip (2 more days!!) we're taking a Take-A-Nap that we got at JC Penny. It's a really neat little bed roll with the pillow and blanket attached. The blanket is nice soft fleece. DS always kicks his blanket off, and the blanket on this is only attached at one side, so he does great on it. It folds up pretty small (about 1/2 the size of a normal pillow) and has a carry handle attached. You can get the on this web site:

I knew you guys would come to the rescue. We found the ready bed at Penney's. I still need to look at Target to see who has the better price.
