One of THE BEST Trips Ever!!! pt2

I scheduled a Wake Up Call for 7:30am but I also set the alarm for 7:20am. When the alarm goes off my DS wakes up and crawls into my bed. This gives him time to wake up a bit and then the phone rings.

“Better get the phone Ty”
“Hello” we says and then there’s that HUGH grin again.
“It’s Mickey, it’s time to get up”
“Hi Mickey, I’m on my way”

Oh, love those wake up calls! We dress grab a bite to eat and head to EPCOT.

This will be a short stay at EPCOT, Ty only wants to ride Test Track and go to Living Seas. Then to AK.

We arrive at EPCOT at 9:10am and get to see a few Characters on the double decker bus. Ty spots Captain Hook and Mr Smee, must get in line.
I think he realizes that we have to stir up some trouble here too…..
Just as he finishes his picture I walk up and he and I start
“TICK TOCK TICK TOCK TICK TOCK”
Mr Smee waves his hands for us to stop, Captain Hook waves his hook in our faces but we don’t stop
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
Captain Hook turns to run away. Little did Ty know but it was time for all the characters to leave, but he thought he had scared Captain Hook away…
“We did it Mom, WE scared Captain Hook. Let’s find Peter Pan and tell him what we did.”

I felt bad for those behind us that didn’t get their pictures taken, so if you are reading this and you are one of those people “sorry! Didn’t mean to prevent anyone else from enjoying Hook.” For anyone who comes across the characters…talk with them…it’s AWESOME!

Over to TT, NO WAIT!!!!! Love this ride but time to see some fish! We make it over to Living Seas just in time to watch them feed the fish, hand feed the spotted manta rays and watched a dolphin presentation.

On to AK! Arrive at 12:15pm just in time for lunch.
This part gives you a work out…lots of walking!
The park wasn’t too crowded, in fact other than the 20 min. wait for the Kali Rapids. Which we rode twice in a row…for those who have never been on this ride…
There are 2 seats that gets SOAKED! I mean totally drenched, as if you jumped into a pool. Well, guess who sat in THOSE 2 seats? Yup, US!
It was fun and we were completely soaked so what else is one to do? GO AGAIN!
And AGAIN, guess who sat in THOSE 2 seats? Ty loved it and that was worth every drip of water! I think between Ty and I our clothes had the same amount of water that the 7 Seas Lagoon holds!

We enjoyed the rest of the park and even stopped to watch the parade, again we sat in front and didn’t miss a thing!

We left at 4:45pm, headed to ASMo for a bite to eat – I LOVE their Taco Salad and just had to have 1 before I left. After dinner we hit the road. Just as we pulled out of the resort I looked back at Ty, his faced was streamed with huge alligator tears. I asked him what was wrong…
“I miss Mickey already!”

Now if that doesn’t make you book another trip I don’t know what would! So, as we drove home I started planning our next trip. 4 days…Dec 1 – 4th! AS Sports. Guess I better call and get those MVMCP tickets!!!! I won’t miss another Hard Ticket Event again!

I hope everyone can experience a trip as enjoyable and relaxing as the one I had! Although it was short it was AWESOME!

I loved reading your trip reports. I read the parts about your character interaction to my DS (4) and he kept saying, "I'm going to say that!" I will be at WDW with DH and 2 DSs (4) and (1) Oct. 17th - 29th and will be attending our first MNNSHP on the 26th. I can't wait to go and your report added to my excitment for our upcoming trip. Thanks for sharing!!!!

you brought tears to my eyes........you and your son had a great time and I am anxious to do it too.......we love all star movies and especially the taco salad.......heck the whole food court is okey with me.........thanks so much for sharing your best trip ever with us...

Thank you so much again! I'm now crying too. Get back there quick, for Ty's sake. That must have heartbreaking to see. When you do go back we want to hear all about it. You have a great style of writing.

Love it - what a fantastic time! I'm crying too and trying to figure a way to get down there...

Thanks for the tips on talking to the characters...I've never heard that before, I'm going to have to make a note!

Everyone MUST at least ONCE have a "conversation" with the characters!!!
It's easy to "talk" chipmunkeese or mouseese!!!

Now they can't verbally answer but that doesn't stop them and you from having some fun.

I think that was my absolute favorite part of the trip! I read people doing that and was jealous hearing about their interaction but this time it was my turn.

Thanks for the wonderful review. It sure sounds like you had a wonderful time with your son. I have to tell you that I never thought to talk to the characters before, but after your report we will have to try it on our next trip.

I'm glad you had so much fun!

I wish FL was closer to MI and we could take our kids for special days like that!

Do you have anyother ideas for character interaction? Those are great!

We are taking my SIL for her 1st time (she's a 41 year old Disney FREAK) and I would love to see her reaction when the characters do this! She would just flip!
