One night near Universal

We are staying at HRH for two nights in August. I was able to save a lot of money on flights by arriving the night before we planned. Our flight lands at MCO at 7:30 PM. We will grab dinner and then need a place to stay. I would like somewhere affordable and close to the park so we can head over first thing in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions. We are Disney vets so I have no clue about any places near Universal.

You could try the Four Points by Sheraton, my brother stayed there last year and me and the other half are there in October on his recommendation. There is a Universal rep in the hotel and it's about a 10 min walk away if you didn't want to get a shuttle. There is an ihop and denney's next door and a seven eleven across the road from the hotel.. So it's easy to stock up on supplies before going to the park. The price is not so bad and I am told the beds are very comfortable.

There is a double tree right across from the Portofino that is very good. You can actually walk to from it to the PBH. I think sometimes dreams unlimited has some pretty good rates. We stay at PBH and my brother has stayed over there for $69 a night usually.
