One night day of Xmas party

Thinking of changing our hotel to on-site 1 night- the day of Xmas party late December. Your opinion do you think we would get into a resort early in the day- we would like to get to room- and then hang around resort before party swim/hot tub/ eat . Would be a Friday morning.

Thinking of CR or YC. I understand CR is closer but really like both resorts.

You can enjoy the resort amenities but you could end up changing/showering at the pool before the party. You should have your room by 4pm but sometimes it’s as late as 5pm and on other occasions the room is ready in the morning. Plan for the worst (4pm-5pm) & hope it’s earlier. Have no room requests besides early check-in and talk to the front desk immediately on arrival. I know SAB has showers at the pool idk about CR.

We have done both CR and WL for MK party one-nighters. I would follow gottalovepluto's advice in terms of requesting only early check-in - they will accommodate if they can. Personally, I wouldn't stay in the EP area if your sole goal is to attend a MK party - staying at CR will make your day so much easier.

Last Christmas Party stayed at YC- arrived at 12:30 pm no room yet. I had done online check in with first available choice. Went to front desk and nicely asked if anything was available and said we didnt care where (paid standard). She said yes for sure i can get you in now (2 night res). Beautiful front facing waterview of lighthouse. Ate lunch at Ale and Compass, got ready and bussed over to line up just by 3:30 . We got lucky.
