Hi, everyone... SusanD and I are headed out this Friday for our 7 day cruise. We are flying cross-country, and should end up in Orlando and the Disney Boardwalk around 6:30 or so.

Given a single evening (WITHOUT KIDS! :-)) on Disney property, what would you try to do? We were just there in June for a week with the kids, so I don't have a massive Disney fix to itch. I love the feeling of strolling around Downtown Disney looking at the shops, but the wife and I have never had the chance to explore the Boardwalk area much beyond the ESPN Zone!

Have never been to the Boardwalk - when DW & I get out without the kids at DW, we tend to gravitate towards the Adventurer's Club at PI.

Go eat dinner at the Flying Fish! :) Then you can enjoy music at Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance, or just stroll along the Boardwalk. If you're in the mood for karaoke head to Kimono's at the Swan (right next to the Boardwalk) for some entertainment.

Enjoy! :)

The Adventurer's Club is great! (Kungaloosh!) We spent two or three nights over there in June, along with the Comedy Warehouse. My 16 year old loved both of those locations. I'm thinking that we might end up just strolling the Boardwalk, but who knows.

If we go to Kimono's, I'll want to order WAY too much expensive sushi! :-)

I agree! You can also go over to the Beach Club and rent a surrey that you can pedal around the boradwalk, very fun. If you have an itch for a park, and don't mind spending the $$, you could walk over to Epcot for dinner and then watch the laser light show. It's not to be missed.

DH & I had this opportunity last summer as we arrived in Orlando on Wed morning, before leaving for our Thurs cruise. We left the kids home this time too.
We arrived at the Poly checked in, spent the day there on the beach, sipping frozen drinks and relaxing since we woke up very early that day. It was beautiful! We then had dinner had the Kona Cafe(my favorite) and headed off to the Boardwalk. We started with "dessert"(more frozen drinks) at ESPN, then went to Jellyrolls. We had a great time there as it was lots of fun. After arriving back at the Poly we spent a few minutes on the balcony soaking up the view, before crashing and getting ready for our cruise. We also started out the cruise day with breakfast at the Kona Cafe...Yummy!
Have a great trip!

Dinner at Flying Fish as mentioned. Also just walking around the BW and watch the side shows, or cycle on one of the four wheel bikes. Very relaxing!!!

Also the next morning, if you are an early riser take a walk to the bakery and get fresh bake buns and pasteries and coffee....hmmm.....
