Our cabin is on Deck 6 and I was looking at photos of the Wonder, for those of you who have cruised this ship before if you have a verandah are the life boats directly under you (are they on deck 5)?? I went on a carnival cruise in March and the life boats were directly under our verandah and it kinda messed up the view. Any opinions???

The life boats are on deck 5 but they are tucked into a recess over the deck 4 promenade. They do not block the view from the deck 6 balconies at all.

Are the lifeboats tucked in enough so you can see the water below hitting against the ship. That carnival cruise I took that is where the view was distorted because if you looked down all you saw were the top of the life boats.

We had a verandah cabin on dec 6 - NO problems with views. You could look straight down the ship at the ocean. BEAUTIFUL!

If you don't mind me asking where was your cabin?

We were on deck 6 also on our cruise last year. It was a beautiful view, we were in cabin 6604. It was kind of fun to be able to pinpoint your room by which lifeboat you were over..."there's our room! Right over the 4th boat from the back!"
In fact we have a great picture of the Wonder docked at Castaway and you can pick out "our verandah".
Enjoy! :wave2:

We were in 6088 and had a direct view down to the water and the docks when in port. No obstructions.

Did you like the location of your room? I was trying to decided between the cabin you were in 6604 & 6606 or ones that were closer to the front of the ship. I have read people complian about noise from the theater below, did you experience that at all?

We had 6050 on our last cruise. Right in the middle...a little back from the mid stairs...clear verandah wall. It was perfect location...no noise and great location for kids clubs...pool and everything...we only had to walk half way vice the full length of the ship.

Thanks for the info, we are looking at cabin 6554 and 6556 also and that is pretty close to where you were but on the other side. Did you find it a far walk to the topsider buffet and the mickey pool???

We loved it! In fact on Castaway day the shipped backed in to the dock and we had a beautiful view of the island!
No noise from below either.
We liked being toward the back of the ship...less hall traffic and we were fairly close to the aft elevators. Once you get used to getting around the ship everything seems easy to get to!
Our only complaint was on the first night, in the cabin next door (it is an adjoining room) we could tell the children were left unattended and it got a bit rowdy. One quick call to guest services and it was solved.
Other than that our trip was wonderful and we can't wait to be able to do it agian!
