this board has been so helpful.
We are leaving in just a couple of days! ( 22nd and 23rd) and because of this board I found out about hojo, and got my Entertainment cards.. I have my trip all planned out, got my character breakfast book, and a whole bunch of other little details. BUT, I have one thing left to do. I want to make a sign for the Jedi Acadamy for my little ones to get picked ( another tip I learned from here!) I know I saw somewhere a link to some signs you could download, but I can not find them anywhere! If someone could point me in the right direction. Thank you!!

I don't recall every seeing actual signs to download, but I know in Hydroguy's tips there is a segment on getting picked and signs and stuff. You might want to check that out. All I know is that you aren't supposed to take signs into DL so you have to be able to fold it up and hide it. Good luck on getting picked and finding any downloads, sorry I just don't know??

Honestly there is no need to make anything fancy. It is really just an easy way for the Jedi master to identify and point out your child. (They all sort of look alike from his position) Just take a piece of paper and in large print write, "Pick ME". Or print it on computer. You could add a graphic from google images if you want. Fold it up and stick it in your back pack in a subtle location. If security sees it, they will take it, but they really don't look closely. If I had my sign confiscated, I would just grab a napkin or anything I could to make one last minute.

Make child hold sign and jump up an down. They are sure to be picked first. It has worked for my son two different trips. Both times we were the only ones with a sign. The first time, my son didn't want to hold the sign, because he was the only one with one, so he refused, but after a few minutes of not getting picked, I took the sign and held it over his head for him and he was chosen immedietly. He was so glad! He asked for a sign the next trip.

We have never made a sign, and my son has been picked all but one of the times that we went to the show (maybe 8 times over the past couple of years). He has almost always had a Star Wars t-shirt on (Target has some great/cheap ones right now), and last time that is how the guy identified him to call him up (by his shirt). He always stands in the front and looks enthusiastic.

Not to discourage you from bringing a sign (anything that increases your chances for being picked are great!!!)....but if for some reason you don't have it with you one day or something - don't let that stop you from trying.
