First of all..thanks so much to all of you that pprovided your opinions about whether I should go with HIFS or Pop Century!! It helped a lot! We finally did decide on HIFS..and I cannot wait!! I think it was the best choice for us (my husband and I, and our 2 kids). Pop Century rooms just looked TOOOO small.
So..next question...and I know this sounds silly, but can you pick the theme of your kid room? I have seen pictures of a few of them...and some of them look really UGLY, while others look cute (for example...jungle and Disney look cute, while Ice Cream or whatever it is looks ugly). How many different themes are there? And is that something I would need to call in advance about? We are going in August..so how early do you ned to call to make requests for room stuff? .....and on that note..what area should I request again if I don't want to be right by the pool (somewhere more quiet if possible).
Thanks again!! :)
Oh...and how early do you need to be at the park to get in without huge lines? Sorry for all the questions..but I haven't been since I was 6..so these are things I need to prepare for! :) Is there a site that offers great itineraries? I want to make sure I don't miss any of the great stuff!!!

Hi! You can request the theme for your room, but I guess it really depends on what time you get there and whether that theme is available when you check in. We've stayed there 4 times, each with a different theme, and while some are 'louder' than others, none have really made a difference for us. Our last visit (just returned a few days ago) had us with a Hot Air Balloons theme--not bad. YOu can submit a request for a specific room and/or location whenever you want.

As for the parks, I would recommend getting there at least 15 minutes before park opening--this will enable you to hit some of the more popular attractions quickly. I've used the Unofficial Guide to Disney a few times, and found the strategies in it to be worthwhile (ie, in MK, make a beeline for Dumbo at rope drop). We hit all of the rides in Fantasyland by 10:45 this past trip using the strategy and the Fastpasses.

Let me know if you have any other questions--and, also if you need a pizza party coupon. I still have 5 of them left.
