I understand that some restaurants for counter service are on the FP list. my family wants to eat at be our guest for lunch. it is a waste of a fastpass to do that? are the lines so long that you need a fp to eat there?

The Be Our Guest FP doesn't count toward your 3 for the day. You get it in addition to your 3 attraction FPs, so yourenot wasting one by booking it. And yes the line can get very long for lunch there.

On my last trip in Dec, my friend said that the BOG lunch FP was the best FP we used all week. Not sure if the lines have died down any but they were LONG. We ordered ahead of time and it was nice to just check in and then grab a table.
