One MDE...three credit cards?

I prefer to keep all 10 members of our multi-gen family on my MDE account and so do they. I will make all the ADRs and FPs with their input. I will be paying for their rooms but once at the resort, they will pay for food, drinks, souvenirs, etc.

So how is this handled at check-in? I don't want all purchases on my cc and have to have to sort a bill out at the end. I'd like to keep my CC on the account and have family A and family B each add their CC for their individual family's purchases. Someone (??) told me that CCs are not tied to MB but rather to the MDE. I was hoping if it were tied to the MB, they could have their CCs linked as needed.

You'll want to link the cards at the front desk when you check in. My friend and I made the mistake thinking because she could add her card and assign a pin number to her own profile in MDE that was linked to mine that had the room and was able to charge to her mb with her pin that the charges would go on her card. We stopped at the desk on check out day and found everything had been charged to my card. The CM was nice and was able to hand add with a calculator everything that needed to be refunded to my card and charged to my friends but had we known before hand to link it at the desk we could have avoided it all.

No, it has to be done at the front desk. That was my point. Because she had her own mde that was linked to mine with the room res we thought she could do it in the app. It didn't work, 3everything was charged to my card. The only thing you can do in mde is assign a pin to your magic band, cards have to be done at the front desk if you are using more than the one on the primary mde.

Only at the front desk, like was said. Just remember who wants to pay for tips at restaurants when you're all out. They can scan one band to take two credits off the room, but that band will pay the tip, I kept forgetting all last trip when I wanted to pay for some of the tips

Re-iterating what was already said -- do it at check in at the front desk.

We went a few weeks ago and thought we had it all set up correctly prior to arrival and did not check on it at the desk. We did not know anything wasnt working right until check out day and then we spent over an hour at the desk trying to straighten it out!

I agree, it needs to be done at the front desk and you need to check to make sure it's set up properly before check-out day. It's much easier to correct when you are on property than after you are home.
