One hour wait for AK bus

Disney's transportation system is actually public transportation, albeit in a limited area. Public transportation users who pay $2,500+ a month rent, or a million plus dollars for a unit in large cities don't have a rertasonable expectation of superior service based on their living costs.
Their landlord is not the transportation provider, nor is he promising free & convenient transportation as an enticement to rent.

Okay, well, the average range for getting from the plane to the resort is 70-90 minutes on DME (MDE being something else entirely :)), so some trips will be shorter, but some trips will be longer. Depends on the time of day, how many guests have to go where, what the smartest routing for the DME bus is...

Any Disney guest is welcome to utilize the wide variety of transit options, including renting, Über, etc.

and If you read my post I will be renting a car next time.
I have used DME before and it was never this lengthy.
I am not a public transportation user .. i was on vacation. And quite honestly I expect better service from Disney as they are getting big $$$ from me for my vacationl . I do not expect the same service from NJ transit going into NYC for work.
Just my opinion though - live and learn and i will not repeat my mistake again

I'm going to also imagine not.
Because can you imagine how many phone calls they'd get? With the impatience of the public these days they'd have people calling demanding a bus after 2 min.
I totally disagree with you. when you are paying over $5k a trip to disney they need to provide adequate service. My last trip was in 2012 and the bus system was excellent
this last trip crowds were high and bus system was totally lacking

I did read the post. Other people will as well, and it's only fair to fully inform.

Not specific to the quoted statements, but it's surprising how many people will base a permanent decision on a single negative experience, when all prior experiences were positive.

I just returned and had great bus service. We never waited more than 7 minutes for a bus, and we took afternoon breaks every day, so we had plenty of bus rides.

I was also happily surprised at how efficient DME was. Our flight arrived after 11 pm, and we waited maybe 3 minutes before we were on the bus and quickly on our way.

The bus service will never be perfect. It will have glitches. And if you find it too much to deal with, then renting a car is your best bet.

Room price has absolutely everything to do with it. I was referring to all rooms at Disney not deluxe. All rooms are overpriced and for paying that premium you should get premium service. OP didn't and neither did we a few days ago staying at BC. We waited over an hour for MK bus. Must of been at least 5 busses going to AK but none for MK. A guest standing with us complained and only then did a bus show 10 minutes later. I made decision next trip I rent a car. MDE was incredibly slow as well. It took 2 hours to get from airport to hotel. Never again

Room price has nothing to do with it. Disney has never claimed the bus transportation at the deluxe resorts was quicker than that at the moderates. And the moderates better than the values. Your room price has to do with your room, and your proximity to a park. You pay more at the Beach Club because the rooms are nicer, and you can walk to 2 parks. Not because the buses come more often.

I think people too forget these buses travel on public roads. They have to deal with all of the traffic issues that comes along with that. It is not like they are driving on paths set aside just for them.

I don't think people in NJ would tolerate lousy service from NJ Transit. I always found there trains to fast and efficient between Newark Airport and Penn Station.

Guess you don't commute to city on daily basis. Trains are always late . You just have to deal with it
