One-hour FP+ window?

In May, we are taking our first trip since FP+ started. We can make our FP+ reservations soon (wohoo!), and I have one question. Does each of the FP+ windows have to be a full hour? It seems that is the case from everything I've read about how to reserve FP+, but I haven't seen it said directly. For example, if I plan to go on Small World at 9:30, can my window be 9:30 to 10:00 and then I can book Peter Pan from 10:00 to 10:30, or does Small World have to be from 9:00 to 10:00 and Peter Pan from 10:00 to 11:00?

I don't believe it will let you book overlapping FPs. And yes, FPs are booked for full hours, but not necessarily at the start of the hour.

The exception to this is the 4th, 5th, etc. FPs, which you would book after using all of your others that day. If your IASW FPs were 9:30-10:30, and you got off IASW at 9:50, you would be able to grab any existing FPs starting at 9:55.

Example: This is from last year. Splash was our third FP. All others after it were booked from kiosks inside MK.

As soon as you use your 1st FP in the park, use the app and attempt to move up the time of your 2nd FP.

Alternatively, plan on riding the 1st FP ride at the end of the window and then go directly to your 2nd ride. Then, attempt to move up ride #3.

From the Requirements and Basics post in the FP FAQ Superthread:
- FP return windows for all rides and character M&Gs are 60 minutes long. The FP system normally allows a grace period of 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after the return window, but guests are advised against relying on the grace period. CMs have the ability to override the system and deny entry during the grace period depending on the situation.
