Hello all :)

Back when I was 180 days out I booked ADR's for 12 of my 14 DDP TS meals. After lot's of backward and forwards with my DBF, reading lots of reviews and some good advice from the lovely Dis folk on here we decided to go for one meal we had never done in all our trips (Restaurant Marrakesh) and had set our heart of Liberty Tree Tavern for the other.

Well...Liberty Tree Tavern has no ADR's :sad1: I keep checking back every couple of days to see if there are any changes but it looks like it's going to be a no go. So I'm back for a little more advice, would you hold off of booking anything on the chance that something appeared, book something else but keep checking to see if something appeared or give up and go somewhere else?

Cheers

LTT is being refurbished. We are going to WDW in August and were hoping for our first ever ADR at LTT, only to hear that it is being refurbished. I'm not sure when it is supposed to re-open, but it will apparently be closed in August for our trip. Maybe that's why you can't get a reservation there.
Good luck with finding one more ADR - lots of good places to eat out there! But I really wanted to try the ooey gooey toffee cake!

ETA: I just looked up refurbishments in allears.net and these are closed dates for LTT:

7/6/2015 - 11/19/2015

I want to say that I read that LTT is undergoing some sort of rehab at some point and that may be why you cannot find any reservations. I would check the rehab schedule to see if it falls within your dates. If so, obviously no reason to wait for it to open up. Either way, I would book something else. You can always cancel at no charge within 24 hours.

If LTT is closed for refurb during your visit, have you considered Trails End dinner buffet at Fort Wilderness Resort or Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge? Both are an easy boat ride to and from MK. Perhaps check out their menus online. I really enjoyed Trails End earlier this year. I've been to Whispering Canyon years ago but the schtick really isn't my thing.

I've been to Marrakesh in Epcot a number of times now & its a favourite. I really like the roast lamb meshoui entree. The hot mint tea service (or cold if you prefer) is also lovely. The restaurant decor is incredible. If you are waiting for your reservation at the podium, make sure to read the framed story about the correspondence between George Washington and the King of Morocco. Interesting stuff.

Agree with everyone else about checking refurb dates (but also watching as it gets closer to see if it reopens a little ahead of schedule) but going ahead and locking in another ADR just to make sure you've got a fail-safe.

Were you looking at lunch or dinner? For an MK day there are a lot of options for either one. You could do a late breakfast at CP and potentially catch the change-over to lunch foods; kind of a two-for-the-price-of-one that will carry you through nicely to a CS dinner (and for that dinner go to a monorail resort QS; after 5 pm their menus expand a bit. I particularly like Contempo Café and Capt. Cook's). If you want a TS dinner instead, have you been to 'Ohana at the Poly? WCC at the Wilderness Lodge? Trails End dinner buffet is tasty but is actually a better out of pocket choice as it's a bit less expensive than most Disney buffets. Or if you can spare the time, take a bus to a resort you've never been to and eat there: Olivia's at OKW is a hidden gem and Shutters at CB is now getting very good reviews.

Agree with the choice of Restaurant Marrakesh. I had the Couscous M'Rouzia. The description is a little odd but the flavors were wonderful.

July 6 through November 20 are the dates for LTT's refurbishment, so no ADR's, no walk-up, no nothing during that time.
