We are all set for our trip in August and have a reservation at Garden Grill and CP. We are not very in to buffets/family style, but usually try one each trip. Should I stick with one of these or another? Biergarten is scheduled for our October trip, so it can't be that. We are on the DDP and kids are 16, 17 and 20, so characters are not required, but not a problem either. Welcome suggestions.

Does it need to be in a park? I recommend giving Ohana's at the Polynesian a try. This is served family style. You do have to pace yourself, they bring a lot of food to the table.

We love Boma. We don't like buffets in general either, b/c of the "all you can eat" mentality. But, we love the "all you care to sample" idea.

Boma offers flavors that I may not necessarily be willing to try if ordering a single item. But a buffet full of exotic, unique flavors is a great dinning experience. Sounds like your kids are old enough to be able to find something they would like plus be able to try a few unique items.

Not to overlook the fact that the AKL is such a beautiful place to walk around and explore the grounds.

I am a huge fan of the Trails End Buffeteria at Wilderness Lodge. They have really good "home cooked" food like mac and cheese, ribs, salmon, etc. It's great for picky eaters because the food is familiar and it's good for everyone else because the food is delicious!

For an MK day, for breakfast or lunch I'd say CP. For dinner, if you want to stay in the park CP again is a good choice; if you want a longer, relaxing evening and are probably not going back to the park, try for an ADR at Ohana.

For an Epcot day, what about the Cape May buffet dinner? It's within a decent walking distance or a short boat ride from the International gateway. Ribs and such for the non-fish eater but the big draw is the crab legs. Not many places in WDW or the real world where a bottomless pit of a teenager (or their parent) can eat all the crabs they can hold. AND Oreo bon-bons on the dessert table!
