One family in two different staterooms sharing a credit card

We have finally reached the point where we can sign up for port adventurers, Palo, etc.
We started to fill out the forms for putting in credit card numbers for payments for each of the families responsible for their own families. But have run into a problem.

One set of parents are signed into a different stateroom from their daughter and we can not figure out how to get her on their credit card. And we are having the same problem because we are split up as well. Every time we hit save on that page it comes up that one item is incorrect and it shows it is the CC number and we know it is not that.

Someone out there must have split up their families also and run into this problem. Is there a way to get this done on line? Or do we have to wait to get to port to sort this out?

You can assign one person to one credit card.

Options are either one persons CC is debited for everyone,
Or
You can sellect each person to have a different credit card, now the other stateroom may have to input the card if your reservation is not linked.
 
@ACQUADUCK is correct.

So the first thing I would check is that your reservations are linked. Next, make sure their CC is entered. Finally, if your can't get it sorted before you board, I'm sure guest services can help. There are things that can definite be worrisome heading into a trip, but I wouldn't let this be one that gets to you.
 
Agreed. Don't worry about it now as nothing gets charged ahead, just put whatever credit card number in and then sort it out at guest services once you get onboard.
 

I will confirm also that there are no charges to the credit card until sometime after you have set sail. We found out the credit card we had on file was invalid on the second day of our sailing. We had a fraud alert and had replaced it a month earlier and forgot to change it on line. They sent a note to our stateroom asking us to visit Guest Services. We gave them the new credit card and there was no further issue.

I would recommend you pick a time pretty early in the cruise to visit guest services to sort it out, but you don't need to do it the moment you board. Just put everyone in the stateroom on the same credit card for now.
 
Just want to say thanks for the replies.

Our Reservations are linked so I thought that would make it easier to do on-line. Was hoping to get it all taken care of on-line so there was one less thing to do at the port. Every additional second on board counts you know!!!
 
I believe that you can also sort it out when you check in at the registration desk. That might be the most convenient - then you don't need to wait in line again at Guest Services.
 
We have three linked staterooms next month, with one child in a different room than her parents. I was able to assign her charges to her parents' room though. Did you go through all the other steps related to children? Give everyone the ability to check her in and out of the kids' clubs, take her off the ship, fully check her into the kids' club? I wonder if it needs to know that someone else other than the adults in her room can be responsible for her. As long as the rooms are all linked, you should have a check box list of whose charges the primary person in each room will be responsible for.
 
You should be able to put multiple Credit Card numbers in the same room. That shouldn't cause you an error. I assume you've checked the number and made sure you typed it properly. And this is the Credit Card field, right, not some other number? This could also be one of those errors that if you exit out of your browser and try again it might work. I'm pretty sure this is a website interface issue, not a policy issue. You can certainly assign their daughter to a different credit card number. You just have to figure out why the computer is throwing the error. Let us know how it is going!

You should be able to put multiple Credit Card numbers in the same room. That shouldn't cause you an error. I assume you've checked the number and made sure you typed it properly. We got together last week and completed the payment form with one adult listed as the primary for his family and my wife’s information for our family and still couldn’t make it work. So we just completed all the forms and saved it without the correct family members signed in for the correct cc card. We read and signed off and printed the contract.

The next day my wife decided to give it one more try and it worked. Everyone is assigned to their appropriate cc card. But it forced us to go over the contract, sign and resave it. But at least that’s done.
