One day Universal Ticket - question!

I have reservations for Portofino Bay for one night on May 27th (the Friday of Memorial Day). I want ONE day , ONE park tickets (Islands of Adventure) for Saturday May 28th. What is the best way to buy this for 2 adults and 2 children (7 & 8)? Are there any discounts on the one day/ one park ticket? Should I buy them from Universal directly? I also have AAA. Anyone know the best way to buy with the best price?

For one day tickets, your best bet is to purchase from Universal directly online. You will save a little bit off the gate price but one day tickets are not often discounted...especially for the one park tickets. The tickets available at AAA and Costco are for multiple days so those won't do you any good.

If you decide to purchase online make sure to choose the electronic pickup option. You would go to the kiosks at either park and with your credit card and confirmation number, have the tickets print out right there...saving you the time waiting in line.
