I know we can see and do quite a bit in one day. We have early entry to Wizarding World and will have express passes. My husband is thinking we should have our car service pick us up at 10pm to take us to our next destination. We want the kids (12 and 9)to be able to properly experience the park, ride their favorite rides as many times as they want to and really get that bang for our buck. It just seems like early entry to 10pm is a LOOOOOOOONG day. Are we planning for way too much time? I'm just really clueless about IOA. I know we could do a day like that at Disney World in at least two of the parks. (MK and Epcot). For the other two, a day that long would be a stretch.

Any suggestions as to how much time is a good amount for a first time visit? I know every family is different. We tend to be commando park types. We aren't lounge around the pool people.

thanks!!!!

You will have oodles of time and then some.

Express pass from the hotel or express pass purchased? There's a difference between the two -- the kind you buy are good only once per ride, while the hotel-based version is unlimited.

i don't know your kids but at ages 12 and 9, i think they could go all day long...

when my kids, 3 boys were 6-7-8 years old, we were at the park from the time it opened until it closed at 10:00.

i was the only tired one.........

it will be your first time to experience universal parks.
i'm sure they will be entertained the entire time you all are there.

if anyone gets tired, go to see the show, Sinbad.
after that sit by the Mystic Fountain.

good place to rest up and be entertained at the same time.

One full day with early entry is plenty of time to experience IOA fully!

And like Macraven suggested, when you get tired, go see Sinbad and sit by the Mystic Fountain, this fountain will entertain your kids and it will entertain you. I could sit at that fountain for hours.

You can always leave the park for a lil and go walk around City Walk pick a nice restaurant to sit, relax and eat in then go back to the park and start over!! :goodvibes

We have the hotel based passes. So we will have unlimited use of the express pass. I'm sure that will help a lot in getting everything done and seen!

The kids are so excited! I'm not worried about them getting worn out early. These kids can GO. They've always outlasted my energy level!! I think I'm more worried about the next day! ;)

thanks so much everyone for your advice!! VERY MUCH appreciated!!:thumbsup2

kids are like the 'energizing bunny'.

they keep going and going and going......

they might be difficult to wake up the next morning, but when they are up, i'm sure they will be ready to tackle another day full force.

mine would sleep in at home as long as i let them but on vacation, sleep was not in their vocabulary.
