I read previosly here where you can pick up your one day tickets if that what you are wanting. We have very limited time for WDW. boo hoo
My question is that I am staying off property and we have not decided which tickets to purchase the 1 ,2 or 3 day tickets. When we decide, I am thinking it would be better to go to one of the resorts the day before we go to the park. Is this possible or do we have to purchase them the day we intend to enter the park?

You doo not have to purchase the tickets the day you intend to use them. There is only one type of ticket (the Ultimate Park Hoppers) that has to be used on specific dates, and that ticket is only avalaible to resort guests which you have already stated you are not. You can purchase your tickets anytime, they do not have to be used the same day they were purchased :)

LibertyBelle is right you can use your ticket anyday.

Visiting the resorts, maybe have lunch or dinner at at restaurant in one, is a great way to get a dose of Disney without using a park day ticket.Dowtown Disney Market Place is one of my favorite Disney non park places to visit.Lots of fun places to shop, just look or eat there. If you have kids with you it's fun to bring swimsuits and let them play in the shooting water fountains there.

Thanks for the welcome and the information. I just found this site yesterday and I can not get away from the computer now. It is full of great information and the excitment is infectious...Thanks again!

There is another exception:

2 day/2 park and 3 day/3 park tickets. They both have expiration dates. The second day of both tickets has to be used within 4 days of purchase and the third day of the 3 day/3 park has to be used within 6 days of purchase.

Where do you get a 2day/2park ticket?

Can you move from one park to another and how mucjh are they?

They are only sold on property. Any theme park ticket booth, any Guest Relations location including DTD, any Disney resort front desk, and any Disney resort Guest Services can sell you a 2 day/2 park ticket.

No, they are not park hoppers. They are one park (your choice) per day. The second day is also your choice including going back to the same one you were at on the first day if that was what you wanted to do. You are able to get a hand stamp and leave the park you go to and re-enter the same park later.

$111.30 - adult, $87.86 - child. Prices include tax and reflect a $5 savings over purchasing two 1 day/1 park tickets individually.
