I think we will be staying off-site for our next trip. I've been doing some research, trying to compare WBC, Sheraton Vistana (and the Villages) and Caribe Resort. I am getting completely overwhelmed! I don't care too much about having a full kitchen ~ it would be a nice bonus, and I'm sure if we had it, we would cook a meal or two, but really, as long as we have a fridge and microwave we will be fine. My girls definitely want a fun pool ~ with a slide.

Anyway, in searching through several old threads, I noticed a couple people mention they got a good rate for Caribe on the Wednesday One Day Sales that they have. Can anyone tell me a little more about this? Such as what website this is offered through? Is it through Caribe? Mousesavers? Thanks for any help!

We haven't stayed at the Caribe Royale yet, but I did LOTS of research on hotels. I can tell you that several people have responded to my earlier inquiry about this hotel and the reviews were very good. I recently spoke to a former coworker who has actually stayed there. She LOVED it!! Our family of 4 will be saving approx. $950 just by staying here and buying our Disney park tix ala carte. If the dining plan is something you think you'd really use, consider booking through Disney and staying on property as they run deals for free dining plans periodically. It's the first time we aren't staying on Disney property so we'll see how it works out. Good luck with your research!!

Thanks for the response ~ I have read several good things as well! We have always stayed on Disney property, but the next time we go, we will be an official Disney family of 5, since the baby will be 3. I just don't think I can bring myself to pay that much for this trip. We'll have our car, so I'm not worried about transportation. the only thing that is holding me back a bit is the dining plan; we usually get it, but I feel like the way it is becoming more expensive we can spend the same amount (or less) without it. It was nice that it was pre-paid and we liked having a sit down meal everyday. We will still do table service, but not as many (or even do some off-site).

Anyone know about where to get the one day rate that they offer on Wednesday?

Okay, I found the info about the one day sale. It is on the Caribe Royale website. I don't know what kind of deals they offer (have to check on Wed) ~ so not sure if they are any better than the mousesavers one or not.

Just wanted to add that if anyone is looking to book here, check out the website. The actual caribe website gave me a rate of $60 cheaper a night than mousesvers did (for the dates I was playing around with).
