One Day Only!

I'm going to Disneyland for the first time for only one day! My mom and I are taking a college graduation trip to LA from May 17-21 (Our main reason for going is the Glee Tour). We're staying near Hollywood and have the 18th and 19th for one day at Universal and one day at Disneyland.

I did the college program at Disney World so I've done those attractions tons and since we have only one day would like to skip things we've done before if we can....so I wanted advice on what to do/not do at Disneyland. Are things like Snow White and Winnie the Pooh the same? Unfortunately there are no fireworks or Fantasmic! for either day we can go so is there a better day of the week: Tuesday or Wednesday?

Wednesday will be a better day because it is not a Magic Morning day, so you will enter the park at opening and there won't already be lines for some rides.

Are you going to be park hopping?

Some things that are definitely must do's for WDW vets are:
-Indiana Jones (like Dinosaur at AK but so much better)
-Matterhorn
-Space Mountain (better on the West coast)
-Pirates (same thing)
-Buzz (same thing)
-Storybookland Canal Boats

And if you are interested in the Fantasyland dark rides, DL has many that aren't found at WDW such as Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad, Pinocchio, and Roger Rabbit in Toontown. In my opinion, Snow White and Pooh are better at WDW. Peter Pan is about the same.

If you go to DCA also, check out Monster's Inc., California Screamin, and ToT (different, some like it better at DHS though).

There's also Tarzan's Treehouse, Pirate's Lair on TSI, and the Haunted Mansion (slightly different inside in some areas). Don't forget to take time to soak up the atmosphere in NOS.
