Fortunately, I just found out that I have to go to Orlando for a one day conference on Jan 7th. I plan on going late the 6th and returing home late on the 8th. This gives me one whole day to go to a park (or parks).

If you had just one day, which park would you visit...or what would your schedule look like?

My family cannot go, so no kids or spouse. Just me. Also, what is the best option for a park pass? I guess they don't sell one day hoppers...

Well, if you think you will EVER return, maybe get a hopper, and use the other days in the future. I think if I was going for one day, and could hop, I would try to see MK and Epcot, if only one park, I suppose MK. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas.

PS: And you do have to post more often, you are only getting about one per year. :) Stop by the Community Board and chat a bit.

I must be the oddball because if I only had one day to do with no hopping, I would chose EPCOT. I just LOVE visiting the world showcases and going into the different shops seeing things from their countries. That bakery shop in Norway and France isn't bad either!!

The only way I know to get a one day hopper is the UHP that you purchase upon your arrival at your resort onsite. I don't think there is a minimum stay so that might be the way for you to go.

Nope, the minimum length of stay pass is one night/two day.

You could check with your conference organizer to see if they're selling special conference tickets. The conference I'm going to in January isn't, but you might be luckier. I don't think they have one day passes either, though, and their two day options expire.
Edit: They do have special "after 2" passes for conference goers (if your conference offers them) but they're not much cheaper than one-day passes.

If I had only one day without kids I'd probably do EPCOT, too. I've NEVER gotten to take my time going around World Showcase because the kids get too antsy.

A Behind the Scenes tour would be an option.

What do you most like? Personally, I would go to the Animal Kingdom, I love the Lion King Show, would do Tarzan, and the safari, Wings of Flight show, and the animal trail that I could see at my own pace.

And we were just at the AK on Saturday!

Thank you all for the comments/suggestions.

Dan, I have posted more than 5 times over the years, but for some reason all my posts were erased a while back. Truth be told, though, I am a BIG lurker. Maybe I will visit you on the community board. I use to trade pins with a number of folks on this board....use to live in Cincinnati. Now live in North Carolina.

I may go ahead and buy a hopper even though I'll be there a short time. We will use the tickets at some point. Am looking forward to trying a couple of the new restaurants when I go down in a couple of weeks (like the one at AKL).
