Hi all!
My hubby and I will be in the Orlando area in July and may get over to Universal to try one of the parks, but we will only have one day. Which park should we do? Some background information - Both my hubby and I are not really roller coaster riders. My husband has been at Universal Hollywood and I went to Universal Orlando 11 years ago. With this information, which park is best for us? We are definately seeing the Citywalk!! Sounds very cool.

Thanks

You would do USF.
They have movie attractions, plus the new Mummy ride.

I would do Universal Studios also. As there would be more to your day if your not a coaster person. With Men in Black, the Mummy, Back to the Future, Earthquake, Shrek, Terminator, Jaws, ET, & Jimmy Neutron there would be more to your day. However with only three coasters IOA still has the best rides around with Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Posidens Fury, Bilge Rat Barges, Ripsaw falls, Poseidons Fury and Cat in the Hat. IOA is a dam good alternative.

What the heck get a two/day two park pass for $ 99 and see both parks hitting the majors. This would be a 13 hour funfest and you could always use the other day for a return trip. It has been done. I would go to Universal first to get on the Shrek, Mummy, MIB, and Back to the Future. Head to IOA to do Spiderman, Bilge Rat Barges, Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park, Posiedons Fury, and Cat in the Hat. Return to Universal for what you missed before.

I would definitaly say universal studios as well. My husband and I aren't rollercoaster fans either and always get far more out of US, although have had fun at IoA as well.

Verity.

Definetly pick Universal Studios. There are tons of attractions that you can experience inside and get away from the hot weather. At the other park, IOA, you will experience mostly all of the rides in a day and have time left over so it might get a bit boring in the afternoon hours. At USF, there are a number of attractions spread throughout the park.

We had the same dilemna until we found out that you can get a 1 day 2 park pass for $73 (I think), only available at the park and by phone. So that solved our problem. We're doing both!

I can't wait to experience FOTL, Portofino Bay Hotel and to have my picture taken with Dr. Suess characters & Spidey for my grandson!! How cool is his Nana!!

July 8th can't come soon enough!

Welcome boxergal,
You are a good Nana. Have fun with the grandson!

Shardiva,
Universal! Have fun and if you were to stay on site and experience FOTL you wouldn't wait 11 years to return.

Unfortunately my grandson isn't coming with me this trip ... his sister isn't quite old enough for WDW or Universal yet. I'm taking my husband and 16 year old stepson ... and none of us have been to Universal before. We're really going to enjoy FOTL! And my grandson will love the pics I plan to take!!
