One-day itinerary -- is this doable?

So DH and I are making a very quick adult-only trip to the World in September (before our DCL cruise), and want to hit our favorite rides, but we only have one day (Saturday, September 24, if that helps). We've narrowed it down to the following (grouped only by park, not prioritized):

Rock n Roller Coaster - MGM/Sunset
Tower of Terror - MGM/Sunset
Mission: SPACE - Epcot/Future
Soarin' - Epcot/Future
Test Track - Epcot/Future
Space Mtn - MK/Tomorrowland
Big Thunder Mountain RR - MK/Frontier
Splash Mtn - MK/Frontier
Haunted Mansion - MK/LibSq

Hours on the day we'll be there are:
MK 9a-9p
EpcotFW 9a-7p
MGM 9a-8p

Is there a way to maximize travel time between the three parks? We'll have a car, but isn't there a way to start at one, then take boats/monorails to save time? And where should we start, do you think?

Thanks in advance!
Joye

I actually think if you have a car then I'd go that route. I've spent a lot of time waiting for boats and such. It will really be anyones guess which way to hop from park to park would be best.

The biggest problem I see-- is you really have the most popular rides at each park. I see you getting held up waiting somewhere. Which park do you intend to start with?

If you start at Epcot, you could get a FP for TT then hightail it fast to Soarin. Hopefully you'll be under a 30 minute wait first thing. Then you may be able to get back to Mission Space and have under a 30 minute wait then use your FP for TT. Still this could already eat up a good 90 minutes. Give 30 minutes for transferring to MGM. It's now 11am. By this time you are most likely going to have substantial waits at TOT and RNRRC.

Middle of September won't be so bad, but it's still a Saturday which is busier.

I think if you don't sidetrack you may do it. However, I think you're going to waste time in lines because FP'ing won't be too much of an option when you are only staying for a few attractions.

Either way, Good Luck!

i'd go to mk first since sat afternoon will be busy there ( it was the only park packed on sat afternoon in Jan anyway)then take monorail to epcot, boat from epcot to mgm, you aren't really that far from the ws exit at tt or ms so i'd do one of them first, one last and fp soarin since you know that will be a wait when ever you go..maybe plan lunch between the epcot stuff....and maybe it there was time head back to epcot for illuminations .i'd get a fast pass as soon as i got to each park for one ride and a least hopefully that will help some ( can't hurt!). if any of these are emh i'd go there first natch.

If it's crowded the day you go, you might consider Single Rider lines to speed things up. -- I know you guys probably want to ride together, but if you see really long wait times, maybe you could do 2 or 3 rides as Single riders to get everything in.

Also, I would drive between MK and Epcot or MK and MGM, but then I would use the boat or maybe even walk between Epcot and MGM. If you go to Epcot first, then talk the boat to the Boardwalk, it's only a 10 minute walk to MGM from there. (The boat to Epcot to MGM, with all the stops, can take 30 minutes though)

Since you don't really want to do anything in Fantasyland, I think I'd head to MK first and EARLY. Head straight to BTMR and Splash Mountain, then to HM.
Then after that, I'd do Epcot (hoping some of the morning crowds have moved out of Future World where the rides are) and do MGM last.

OR maybe, do MK last, I've found there are very short lines to BTMRR and Splash Mountain if you go later, while everyone is finding seats for Wishes or SpectroMagic. If there is a SpectroMagic parade on the night you go at 8pm, you should be able to pretty much walk right on to those rides from about 7:30pm on. I've done this a few times on Spectro nights, once we even rode BTMRR 3 times in a row without getting off because there wasn't any line!

Whew! Good Luck! :wizard:
