Hello, looks like we will be heading to FL to visit the in laws at the end of January and we (Me, Wife, 3.5yr boy and 5 month boy)are trying to fit in one day at WDW. What one park would you visit for the day if you had the chance? I'd get parkhopper passes if it didn't cost so stinking much to upgrade to it for one day, goes from $190ish to $330ish.

I love all the parks, but given the age of your children, I would suggest the Magic Kingdom as a first choice. The Magic Kingdom has so many rides that would be good for a 3.5 year old. It was our five year old daughter's favourite park on our first visit to WDW, and continues to be our children's park of choice.

Having said that, the only park I truly would not recommend is Epcot - I really enjoy it, but because your children are so young and you only have one day I don't think it would be a good choice. In our experience (others may have different views) Epcot is more suitable for older children. Our girls only really "got into" Epcot on our most recent trip last year, when they were ages 8 and 10 respectively.

Best of luck with your trip planning, and have a wonderful visit,
MouseGirl

Definitely Magic Kingdom, although keep in mind there are some scary themes even on the little kid rides. Do not do Snow White, there is a scary witch. Winnie the Pooh is a good ride to start with. Also go on Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Its a Small World, Dumbo, Mickey's Philharmagic, Indy Speedway, Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride (I have 2 little boys). Too many to list them all.

Second choice would be Animal Kingdom. The rides and attractions at MGM and Epcot are too mature for your kids.

Have fun!

Definitely go with Magic Kingdom, My kids loved it so much when they were little! I would follow the touring advice in the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" or sign up for Tour Guide Mike. My kids loved the Dumbo ride and you really do have to go straight to it 1st thing or wait in a slow moving line later in the day which is really hard for little ones. Whatever you decide, hope you have a great time! :cool1:

For one day, Magic Kingdom! I wouldn't do park hoppers for a one-day trip... besides the cost, it would be so tiring! :thumbsup2

Philharmagic, Dumbo, IASW, POTC, HM, Splash, SM, the list goes on and on... :goodvibes

My 3.5 yr old daughter loved Snow White and Haunted Mansion. We rode HM 6 times! Carousel and tea cups were also big hits. (These in addition to the ones posted earlier.) Buzz Lightyear was also a lot of fun for her. Have fun!

MK, without a doubt. We will be spending a day, and two nights at WDW in Jan. GEt in late on a Thursday, have all day in the parks on Friday, then leave early Sat morning. But, we have been many, many times. We will be doing a Pirates and Princesses Party Friday night, so will do MK and AK that day.....perhaps a bit of Epcot since we'll be at the Swan. But, this is nothing I would advise if you aren't very familier with the parks.
With your kids, MK would be perfect for a day at WDW.

I would have to say the Magic Kingdom unless you have been to the one in California many times before and you are kind of "Kingdomed out" My second choice would be between Animal Kingdom or Epcot. The rides at MGM focus on a more mature audience. For the most fun though in my opinion MK all the way.:)

Thats a tough one.

If you're into Animals, go to Animal Kingdom.

If you're into Traveling and science go to Epcot.

If you're a movie buff and enjoy thrills go to MGM.

If you're into classic Disney then go to Magic Kingdom.
