One day car rental?

I am thinking about renting a car for one day to do grocery shopping for our trip. Is there a location on Disney to rent a car, and is there transportation to get there from a resort?

Alamo is at the Car Care Center, and they will pick you up at your resort, and the S/D has National. We've used CCC and we have a ressie with National in June. Enterprise picks you up and takes you to the Marriott convention center. They have been very reasonable in the past, (most especially if you rent for a weekend day) but the car for the bargain price is really the low end. The last time, it didn't have automatic door locks, however, it had a/c. We usually get a car for 1 day if we're there for a Sunday. We use it for a grocery stop and church.

Instead of renting a car, what about using one of the shopping services? We use WEGOSHOP. It's definately cheaper than renting a car for the day and they do a very good job. You can pick your delivery time as well.

The car for the day with Enterprise was under total $35, and I think the convenience of getting the food in the sizes you want is worth the little bit extra as opposed to having groceries delivered. We had a bad experience with a delivery service...they refunded the delivery charge.

I used garden grocer on our last visit and they were great. I just wish they had a bigger selection on their website. I really want to go and pick out my own things and check out what they have for meals on the go (rotisseri ?chicken, sides to go etc.). Last time i was at Albertson's they had a fairly good selection.

hi we are going in july,in the unofficial guide to wdw, i found a company that will deliver to wdw resorts! the website is www.gardengrocer.com. we have four families going and are going to put in an order for water, soda,etc. there is a $12.00 service charge for orders under $200. they willdeliver 7 days a week between 8am and 7pm i think all the info is on the website and it has to be cheaper than a car rental.
