I am booked at CSR 10/19 - 10/28. We would actually like to get down there on Saturday 10/18 so we can get an extra day in without the kids missing more school. I booked CSR with our 40% off code, so I am being told that we cannot change our dates a day earlier because the code will no longer work.

Soooo, I'm thinking of booking one night at POP before we transfer to CSR. How does that work? Will Disney take our luggage over for us or will we have to take it all on the bus? I'd like to go to MK early Sunday morning, so we won't want to bother with luggage and checking in at CSR until much later that day. Will that be a problem?

Also, if we have the package booked for CSR with dining and tickets, but that doesn't start until Sunday, will we still be able to use a park ticket on Sunday before we actually check in at CSR?

I'm afraid the transfer may be more of a hassle than what it's worth, but I'd really like to have that extra day!!!

I can not help you with the ticket question because I've always had an annual pass so I did not have to worry about that portion of moving from one resort to another.
But, it is very easy. Any time we've stayed at a value all we did was take our luggage over to the the luggage holding area and let them know that we are just moving to another resort. They will give you tickets for your luggage and they will transfer the luggage for you (generally later in the afternoon).
After that we've just gone over to the park we were planning on for that day and then to the resort later in the day to check in and our luggage was waiting there for us.
With your ticket situation, one of you may have to go to the CSR and get checked in so that you can get your tickets, but I honestly do not know.

We stayed 3 nights at POP and transferred to BC for 9 days in 2006. We did not have tickets or dining while at the Pop. We did Universal and Sea World while at Pop and paid for meals. Our Dining and ticket package kicked in when we moved tp BC. Transfering luggage is no problem. Just let them know. You will have to pay for tickets and dining while at the pop unless you increase the number of days on your package to include the days at the pop.

I'm only getting 6 day tickets because that is all we plan to use, but we would like to use one of those days on Sunday. I know we will have to pay for dining, but I was hoping we could get our tickets to start on Sunday without having to check in at CSR first. Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks!

We are doing the same thing the end of April!! Airfare was cheaper for us to leave on Thurs. instead of Fri. so we will be staying Thurs. night at PoP and then transferring to CSR. We booked thru AAA. When I made the reservation for PoP with our agent she called Disney to find out how the transfer would work. She said we will need to check-in at CSR Fri. to get dining and tickets activated and that they (Disney) would take us and our luggage there( not necessarily together). We are planning to go over to CSR about 7am on Fri. to check in so we can get to the parks for opening. We are not expecting a room at that time but this is the only way our agent said we could activate our tickets. I am hoping more responces come in with those that have had actual experience with this!! Good Luck!!:)

Can anyone else help us out?!?! Thanks!

Hello,
I stayed at Pop Century last Dec for a couple of days before transfering over to Csr for the remainder of my stay.. As far as transfering I just took a cab over with my luggage ($10) a lot easier than worrying what time my luggage would show up. I checked my luggage with bell services then went to check in. They gave me a card with a number to call and off to the parks I went.
Later in the day I came back and got my luggage and off to my room I went.
As for tickets once you receive you room key (at check in) you will be good to go! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I did exactly the same thing, but opposite, one night at CSR (no park tickets) then moved to POP for 5 days of free dining. We also found it easier to take a taxi with all of our luggage. We checked into POP (to get our tickets) and headed out for the parks. Because I had requested a specific location (70's, 1st floor) and no rooms were ready we left our bags with luggage and had them delivered later that night.

Have Fun!!

We are also thinking of taking a Cab over to CSR. Will we be able to check in to get our tickets activated at 7am? We're not expecting a room then but want to hit the parks!!!:thumbsup2
