Me (29) I haven't been to disneyland since the 2003 and that year I went to Super Soap Weekend so I did not get to do the rides. Before that the last time I went was early 90s. A disney freak.

Michelle (30's): My friend from NC. I have known for about 2 years now.

Recap:

I went out to LA to see:

win the Daytime Emmy for Best Supporting Actor which he did.

Friday

I flew from NJ to LAX on Friday morning. We were delayed leaving Newark Airport then again when aren't we. So I thought we would be late but lo and behold the pilot must have been speeding thought the air. We were 20 minutes early and seriously it took me about 20 minutes to get my luggage. I went outside and waiting for the alamo bus which seemed to take forever. Finally got my nice little blue car that actually had 4 doors. Everytime I have gotten a car before it only had 2 doors and people had to climb in the back. Of course, I hit traffic on the 405. Welcome to LA. Traffic in LA does not bother me as much as traffic in Northern NJ does. We stayed at the Sportmen's Lodge Hotel which is in Studio City. My friends had arrived the night before. Once I got there we just hung out and then later went to the Emmy's.

Saturday

We had a few events to go to. Won't bore you with those details.

Sunday

Since we were not doing anything on Sunday we decided to go to to Disneyland. Before I left I mapquested from our hotel to disneyland it said it would take 44 minutes. I told my friend we were leaving real early. We didn't leave till about 7:30 am and I am glad we didn't leave earlier. It seriously took us 30 minutes to get to disneyland. There was no traffic on the 101 or the 5 but then again it was a Sunday morning and father's day. When we got there the worse part was trying to park in the parking garage. Seriously it took longer to park then it did to get from LA to Anaheim. LOL.

When we got to the front gate we went over to the guest relations and asked them what we needed to do as we had WDW tickets and we wanted to use one day. I have to say the lady that switched them over for us was very sweet. We got into the park and took some pics. There are so many difference between disneyland and world and I kept comparing since we had been at disneyworld in March.

We didn't do a lot of the rides cause I wasn't feeling too well.

We walked around and went to have breakfast. I had a chocolate crossiant. Yummy.

We decided to do Buzz light year ride. I just love the interactive ride. I was on a mission to beat Michelle's butt and well I did that.

Not an impressive score but at least I beat her.

Then we walked around and waiting for CA Adventure to open cause we wanted to do Soarin'. I get motion sickness so I took something before we left LA cause I so wanted do the ride. When we left the land we had to have our hand stamped and went over to CA Adventure.

It took us a few minutes to get in, get a map, and figure out where soarin' was. It took us all of 5 minutes to get on the ride. We were on the top and well it sorta ruined it for me cause you could see the top of the screen. LOL I seriously had a death grip on the bar it's not like I am going to go anywhere.

When I got off I felt a little nausea but that happened in FL too. After that we decided to walk around since neither of us had been to CA Adventure. We did the ferris wheel and the none moving car. sorry I have no urge to get sick on my trip and they really move back and forth.

This is my drawing of tigger. I so recommend the animation studio. It was so much fun. Michelle wouldn't share her Tigger since it didn't look like Tigger. LOL How dare they put no erasers on the pencils. That so screwed me up. LOL

On the way out I took pics with the CA in Calfornia. LOL. Sorry I the state is too long.

Afterwards we went back to disneyland and took some pics by the castle.
Seriously a few times during the day I would go where is the castle. It is so tiny compared to disneyworld. LOL.

We walked around and only did the Haunted Mansion and It's A Small World. The wait at disneyland wasn't as long as the world I noticed.

I love your photos, Kim! I want more, but when I clicked on your link, it took me to one picture (the one of Belle & Beast), and that's it????

It's too bad you weren't feeling well and couldn't do more rides. :sad1: What did you miss out on that you would've liked to do?

Kim! I'm glad you enjoyed Disneyland and DCA while you were out in SoCal. I love your Tigger drawing! That's much better than anything I could create in that attraction. :)

Thanks for sharing your trip report! :goodvibes
