One day at Disneyland - Park Hopper or not?

What I wish Disney would do is to enable the ability to add the hopper option directly from the app to your already purchased ticket. I don't know how much it would actually get used since most people probably decide that beforehand, but it would be convenient and reduce lines at the ticket booths.
