One credit short for Signature?

I must be somehow just not seeing this when I search, so apologies if this is obvious to everyone but me...

We are debating the dining plan for the first half of our upcoming split stay, as we have a number of table and character meals planned. I am debating what to pay OOP and it would likely be Sci-Fi for lunch. However, I'm wondering what happens if you sit down to CRT and have only one credit left per person- do they orphan those credits and keep your entire prepayment, do they refund some, or how do they make it work? If you have an even number of adults and an even number of children, then some of you could use credits and some of you would pay OOP. For instance, 2 adults and 2 children. One adult and one child would then have enough credits for the meal, and the other two would pay OOP. If you have an odd number, then you will have a left-over credit that you need to find a home for or lose it. There is no refund, no return.

You cannot pay partial credit partial cash on the same diner. But if you have two adult credits left, then you can dining plan one adult with the two credits and use part of your cash prepayment for the other adult.

No refunds or partial payment with credits. One meal at CRT will cost 2 credits and there is no way to use one credit for it. But as noted, you can double up credits for some party members and pay out of pocket for others.

Any unused credits left over in your account after midnight on your check-out day are forfeited.

Thanks everyone. I've run the numbers a bunch of times and there is just no way we would come out even remotely ahead with the dining plan, just the opposite in fact. Another time perhaps!
