Once you've made your reservation, do you have to bring pin code?

My sister got a pin code and we used it to book our trip this month. Yesterday when I called about changing our room category, the cm told me to be sure to bring the pin code card my sis had gotten in the mail. I called her and she said she'd thrown it out because she didn't think we needed it anymore. Will they still honor the rate without the card? We booked a month ago.

They said the same thing to me! If they have it in the system and know the name matches for one of the occupants, I don't know why they require it. I don't know about you, but keeping track of a piece of mail is hard work, lol! I put it inside the luggage already so I wouldn't forget. I have the tendency to put important items in a place where I will never forget....and then I ALWAYS forget where that special place is!

Easiest way is to call and ask. My brother got a pin code, made the reservations and got there and they insisted he have to code. After an hours wate of time and manager intervention they we given the quoted rate. Best of luck and have fun.

There's no need to "bring" a PIN code anywhere. It's only issued to identify you as the holder of the code at the time you make the reservation. Once you receive a confirmation of the special rate, you're set.

I've called twice within the last week to update my reservation using my PIN code, and both times the CM's told me more than once to be sure to bring the flier with me. I'm surprised they didn't say the same when you were booking -- perhaps you can call in advance and say that you weren't originally told to keep the paper, so you (or your sister) tossed it?

They didn't tell me to bring ours?? Good thing I saw this and kept it, I almost threw it away the other day.

Update: I called today and the CM told me that many times they enter the pin number into the reservation so you don't need to bring anything. She looked up my reservation and saw in the notes that I'd used a pin code offer but the number itself hadn't been added. She still thought it would be ok, but I told her I had the number, just not the original card and she told me, "Oh, no problem. We'll just enter the number now."

I don't really know why they would need the card or even IF they need the card, but it's best to hold onto it just in case! Since I am the...well, thorough type, I keep everything, so I had the number written down and in my trip folder. My sister is not the sort of person who keeps a trip folder or pin code card etc:rotfl:

CMs are like the Internet: just because they said it doesn't make it true.

If it makes you feel more at ease to bring it, then by all means bring it.
