Once cruise lines are given the ok to sail

There will soon be a new Sheriff in town and it may not be states but the feds.

Good luck with that and if you really want to be masked everywhere you go for the rest of your life wherever you go have it it but don't force it on everyone else.

And don't forget no country has a permanent law to wear a mask. Sure they will be more accepted to wear if someone chooses to, but that is about it.

Then we can be trailblazers and lifesavers all at the same time.

We love to cruise...

I would think that in reality most people aren't going to chance it... All the media on the cruise lines, and the poop storm that followed for people trapped on the ships, most people are going to be much more than cautious before they fork over that kind on cash to head out on the open water...

Before really anything can happen... the vaccine will have to be readily available and most people will need to have it... I can also see making people show proof that the received the vaccine, and are safe to travel... whether by land, air or sea...
how will proof be excepted or shown... attached to your passport or some type of travel paperwork... then you get into each country having their own requirement to enter...

Yes we are planning on get the vaccine as soon as we are allowed to get it...

As well restrictions and borders to the US and other countries will have to be opened to let American's in... another hurtle to jump over. Most countries that depend on tourism might jump at the chance... yet is it really safe... how are they handling the vaccine..
Then thinking about going to a another country... what are there rules going to be, and the process to get in, how is that all going to work?
As well what about the vaccine distribution to smaller Caribbean countries...

As well the crew being vaccinated... how as a guest are you going to be sure that each member has had the proper immunization?

And with the way things are with people losing everything, really how many people are going to have that kind of cash laying about, when they need to keep a roof over there head, and food on the table... ? So cost is another thing... Who will be able to afford such a luxury..?

Just me looking at the situation I think that it will be 2022 before we see any type of real cruising back up and running... I hoping that I am wrong and we can cruise sooner... and that the economy can bounce back quicker than what the media and new outlets are saying... lots and lots of different pots, and pans in the fire... for sure...

Once covid is under control which is coming there is no need for everyone wearing them everywhere end of story.
People aren't going to be quick to let the masks go. They are like a Swiss Army knife - security blanket, virtue signal, fashion statement, blemish cover, anonymity provider, litter opportunity, etc.

There is no place for mandates or laws after all of this. Someone can wear all they want but that is as far as it needs to go. Where I live people don’t want them and if no sign on door about 10% wear them (no mandates here).

Masks are not only those things, they are devices proven to help contain droplets and lessen the chance of spreading disease. The CDC/WHO/etc are in agreement and still the highest authority we currently have on these things. If you wish to argue that, then the community forum is the place to go.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/201...Masks are a simple barrier, the nose and mouth.

I understand you do not personally like masks and choose not to wear them, nor frequent places than enforce them. Regardless, argumentative comments or sarcasm about it here do not contribute in a positive manner to cruising or the forums and I'm asking you nicely to stop. If you wish to change the mandates or popular and business opinions on this, more good can be done by writing to your congress person, local entities, and/or DCL than here.
