You guys helped me out last time I was stumped, so I am going to press my luck and go for another time...

I made (in my opinion) some really cool unity candles for our wedding on 7/4... I have two kids already, so i wanted them included in the ceremony, so i made 4 tapered candles and one big pillar candle... I have only been able to find VERY expensive unity candle holders that hold all 5 candles (like $80 or more) and i think they are not very attractive...

So, that brings me to my problem... what do i put these candles in... I am pretty crafty, so i thought I could make something, but my creative juices are at an all time low... So any help would be greatly appreciated :lovestruc

I know there are going to be some great ideas out there... :rolleyes1

Here are some pictures of the candles that I made.. i hope this works... I am new to posting pictures

If you want all the candles together, you could put them in a glass bowl filled with colourful sand :confused3 Maybe even with the pillar candle in the middle of all four of them.

I like the bowl/sand idea. I would try and find a floating candl bowl to use, as it is nice and shallow, like this one for the pillar candle:

And then I would give the tapers their own votive holders, also filled with sand, like these:

That way you could arrange the however you want across the table. Hope that helps! (And glad to see your flags done! They turned out fab! ;))

Edit: While browsing the first site, I found this:

Kind of reminds me of something in Epcot, don't ya think? :rotfl:

Thanks for your help... I am going to try this this weekend and see what i come up with...

You girls are the best... I don't think I could have made it through the planning process with out you guys :) :worship:

My friend just got married. Their set up was very simple. She used votives in the glass globes to light wicks. They didn't use tapers b/c the church didn't want the wax to drip. She didn't put anything under the unity candle. It was only lit for a little bit.

You could just use inexpensive clear candle holders, possibly have each person pick out their own. Then when you get home you can display them
