As far as I know, the OBC can be used for anything that you want. It is just like cash. You just want to make sure that you use it or you will lose it.

The OBC can be applied to anything you can charge to your room—drinks, DCL shore excursions, spa visits, Palo dining, gift shop purchases, etc. You don't actually ever say, "I want to use my onboard credit for this," or anything like that. You just purchase what you want and the OBC shows up on your statement as a credit against whatever charges you have.

You can also use it for your tips...just 'charge' them to your cabin, and they will take them out of any un-used obc that you have. On our next cruise between our two cabins we have $800 obc and it is our goal to not go over and have to use any of our own $$$, which for us will probably be pretty easy since we don't drink any alcohol at all. Enjoy your cruise and your free $$ :woohoo:

don't forget that even though dcl is having the 1/2 price deposit offer right now, you still have to pay the other half, but not until you pay in full....their offer just makes it easier to afford to book the trip while you save up the rest!

I realize that but I am going on a cruise in December. (Not a Disney cruise) and then to Disney Resort and Parks for two weeks and then offsite for another 10 days. In total I will be gone in vacation a month.

Being able to pay just half price made it possible to book as I am saving for this years coming Christmas trip!

It's All Good!
