Onboard Booking and Blackout Date

So I have an onboard booking credit and I am cruising on a blackout date. My extended family is interested in going with us but the cost of the cruise in significantly higher now and was wondering if I can use that onboard booking for ANYTHING at all for this cruise for them....even if it's just for onboard booking credit....and can it be used for them if I'm not listed on the reservation?

As far as I know, Onboard booking benefits only apply to the reservation that was actually made while onboard. Not any additional rooms you wish to book afterward.
