???? on vouchers after end of May,2005

Does anyone have any information on the voucher situation after the end of May this year????

I just had a friend try to buy Q & C vouchers and Hotwire told her they are all gone! :guilty:

I am so upset! I had no idea that they were going to stop selling them! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! :earseek:
 
It was great while it lasted....
 
Interesting, I just called Hotwire (actually DH did) and they stated that they will still be selling tickets and meal vouchers but they don't have any in right now. They stated to check back next week regarding this.
 

I called today an dfinally got through to a supervisor. He said he would do more checking and called me back (what a surprise that was..that he actually did). Ed, badge number 3893 said they should be back in business with Disney in 4-6 weeks. Sounds like a long time, and who knows if he is correct. Guess I'll be cancelling.

We are giving them the benefit of the doubt for one week. If after that one week, we hear or see nothing we will be cancelling as well.

Because a girlfriend of mine is taking several girls (Brownies and Girl Scouts) to Disney early July. I was helping her plan this via disneyyouthgroup.com. It is not Disney (I just found that out yesterday). I called because the girls are having several fundraising activities (since last summer) in order to go this summer and has been sent a contract (that hasn't been signed) but must be returned 6 before they arrive. I was told that the Q & C Vouchers are still being sold and will continue to be (at least until the end of their contract in Sept 2005). And they sell a lots of Vouchers - including vouchers at Cheesecake factory and at All Stars breakfast!

So, If I were those who have a while before the trip - I'd wait and let this "newness" claim a bit. I don't think many vendors (Disney including) know what they are doing. And with sooo many (I think sooo many) Disney is going to have to do some changes or discounting because just reading this board - many are not that happy with MYW tickets/prices). Also, just think - Hotwire has traditionally been the least expensive by far - they haven't even come out with their price list yet - thats worth waiting for if nothing else.

Now will Hotwire continue to sell them is a whole new story. All hope isn't lost! Like one of the posters said - give it a few weeks (if you have a few weeks to give) - they'll be back in business!

Also, I called Disney's group reservations and was told they will still continue them there too.
 
I sincerely hope we can count on some type of reasonable voucher or we will have to look to eating off-site more often and just getting snacks in the parks. (boo hoo)

I just wanted to post a quick correction to djm99's information regarding youth group offers. You DO NOT get 1 free ticket for every 5 children; only 2 chaperone tickets are free, but you may purchase a chaperone ticket at a youth price for every 5 children you bring. I still have a meal voucher left from a youth trip, and it is different than the Q & C vouchers in appearance and where you can use them. In Epcot, you can only use them in 3 places: Liberty Inn(US),Electric Umbrella, and Sunshine Season Food Fair. And the only resort restaurants that accept them are the value resort food courts, Port Orleans and Caribbean Beach, Old Key West, and Wilderness Lodge. All of these places are counter service. Beaches and Cream, Pepper Market Grill, and counter service in the World Showcase in Epcot do not accept the youth lunch/dinner vouchers. Rarely will you save any money with these vouchers, but that is not their purpose. We are requiring any Boy Scout whose parent is not accompanying him on our Disney trip in July to purchase 5 of these vouchers to cover his lunch for the 5 days we will be in the parks so even if he spends(or loses) all of his money the first day there, we won't have to buy his lunch.
