Hello

We are taking our kids for a first WDW trip this Fall:cool1: I wanted to make our departure day sort of special for the kids. We have a 3:30 pm flight, so I am assuming that ME will pick us up around 12:30. We are staying at the CR.

I was thinking that we could check out, store our carry-ons with the hotel and check our baggage with the ME/RAC desk. I was going to make a 10:45 ressie for brunch at CM. This would be on a Sunday in October. Not sure how long the wait for a table would be with a 10:45 ressie :confused3 Does this sound like it could work? Any tips would be appreciated!

Personally I would make it a bit earlier, just so you aren't rushed due to making the bus on time. You are right the bus will pick you up at 12:30, but you have to be out at the bus pick up 15mins before that. (might be 30mins, but I think it is 15mins)
Anyway, that would only give you an hour and 1/2 and if they are running behind you may not get seated on time.

I would shoot for 10am, it seems a bit long, but if you take your time, extra pictures with the characters...etc, it won't be.

Good luck and have a great trip!!

Your plan to use RAC and stash the carryons with the hotel will work fine - we did this last year to get another park day in.

I'll bite my tongue and not tell you what I think about CM, but...

I don't think you're allowing enough time for CM - I'd give yourself a good 2 hour buffer and maybe a bit more to have the meal and enjoy the characters without feeling rushed/worrying about getting your carry ons and boarding the ME. I'd try to get an adr around 10.
